Solar Technician

📋 Description

• Maintain solar field equipment (inverters, trackers, SCADA) per SOPs.
• Inspect daily for mechanical or electrical issues affecting tracking.
• Read schematics to troubleshoot inverter, tracker, and PV components.
• Gather performance data; diagnose issues and implement solutions; escalate as needed.
• Model safety and identify risks; report to management.
• Complete admin duties: PODs, work orders, SAP, fault and inverter reports.

🎯 Requirements

• AAS or higher degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• Journeyman electrician or equivalent
• NABCEP, NEC, NFPA, OSHA certifications preferred
• Experience in electrical circuits and testing or troubleshooting
• Technical knowledge of solar inverter operation
• Arc Flash certification (training provided if not already obtained)
