Solutions Engineering Architect

📋 Description

• Design cloud-native architectures across compute, networking, data, identity, and security.
• Translate business objectives into scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions.
• Collaborate with engineers, security architects, and stakeholders on strategies.
• Lead cloud migration, modernization, and platform consolidation.
• Establish architectural standards, best practices, and governance for cloud environments.
• Evaluate cloud technologies and recommend solutions based on needs.
• Create architecture documentation, diagrams, and artifacts for review.
• Lead architecture reviews and influence engineering decisions across teams.
• Balance time-to-market, cost, security, reliability, and maintainability.
• Support adoption of containerized, serverless, and managed cloud services.
• Promote cloud cost transparency and optimization with engineering and finance.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in CS, Information Systems, or related field.
• 8+ years in software engineering, cloud or solution architecture.
• Deep expertise designing cloud-native solutions on a major cloud platform.
• Strong understanding of cloud networking, identity management, and security.
• Experience leading cloud migration and modernization initiatives.
• Strong knowledge of containerization, serverless, and managed data services.
• Experience creating architecture docs and presenting to senior leadership.
• Proven ability to lead architecture reviews and influence direction.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management.
• Cloud architecture certification from AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid cloud architectures.
• Familiarity with TOGAF and other enterprise frameworks.
• Experience in regulated industries with compliance requirements.
• Experience driving FinOps and cloud cost optimization.
