Specialty Rx Coordinator

📋 Description

• Collect and review pharmacy and medical records for prior authorization requests, ensuring accurate
• Liaise between retail and specialty pharmacies, prescribers, and members to document requests
• Arrange and negotiate single case agreements, coordinate pricing, process claims accurately, update
• Assist members with financial concerns regarding specialty medications and escalate issues to
• Submit referrals to third-party vendors for specialty carve-out programs and serve as a liaison
• Review vendor plan language to ensure compliance with governmental regulations and contractual

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional work experience
• At least five years of professional experience with strong understanding of pharmacy and medical
• Previous experience managing pharmacy and/or medical prior authorization requests is required
• Familiarity with medications used in rheumatoid arthritis, transplantation, Hepatitis C, infectious
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills and high level of accuracy
