Sr Counsel - Policy & Regulatory

📋 Description

• Own multi-state regulatory obligations for HopSkipDrive as a TNC in education.
• Draft regulatory filings, letters, and attestations; track review.
• Advise on regulatory requirements for new markets and ongoing compliance.
• Monitor federal/state legislation affecting TNC, school transport, and AI.
• Oversee labor/employment claims and manage litigation.
• Represent HopSkipDrive in regulatory rulemakings before state agencies.

🎯 Requirements

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar license.
• 8+ years legal experience in regulatory affairs, incl. 5+ in firm/in-house.
• Experience navigating state regulatory agencies, admin proceedings, or legislative processes.
• Ability to advise cross-functional teams on regulatory requirements and policy implications.
• Proven ability to work with AI tools in legal work.
• Excellent analytical, written, and oral communication; cross-team collaboration.
