Sr. Database Engineer- Cloud

📋 Description

• Administer, optimize, and support enterprise SQL Server environments in cloud infrastructure, ensuring availability and reliability.
• Design and maintain HA and DR solutions, including clustering, replication, failover strategies, and recovery testing.
• Monitor database performance, troubleshoot complex issues, and implement improvements using advanced diagnostics and monitoring tools.
• Automate database administration tasks through scripting, Infrastructure as Code, and repeatable engineering processes.
• Develop solutions using PowerShell, T-SQL, Terraform, CloudFormation, and related automation technologies to reduce operational effort.
• Integrate database practices into CI/CD workflows, supporting automated deployments, schema versioning, and modern release processes.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IS/Engineering or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 8+ years of hands-on SQL Server experience in enterprise environments.
• Strong SQL Server admin, performance tuning, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Experience designing and supporting HA/DR with Always On, clustering, replication.
• Experience with cloud-based SQL Server workloads and automation scripting (PowerShell, T-SQL).
• Experience with IaC (Terraform/CloudFormation) and CI/CD pipelines.
