Sr. Embedded Detection Analyst

📋 Description

• Own detection outcomes for 3-5 strategic customer accounts; manage KPIs.
• Investigate detection issues using analysis dashboards; identify root causes.
• Design and implement detection tuning using signals, attack patterns, and threat intel.
• Fine-tune thresholds to balance precision while maintaining coverage against threats.
• Generate impact reports showing measurable detection improvements for customers and GTM.
• Align with Sales and Customer Success; focus on investigation and tuning, not account management.

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years in SOC ops, detection engineering, incident response, or email security.
• Experience with SIEM/EDR and email security tools; Abnormal Security a plus.
• Email attack analysis; leverage IOCs and TTPs to remediate threats.
• Strong grasp of precision/recall metrics and their impact on security ops and customer experience.
• Triaging alerts; root-cause analysis; tune detection logic to reduce FP while maintaining coverage.
• Proficiency with AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot) to boost productivity.
