Sr. Forward Deployed Engineer

📋 Description

• Lead production-grade customer projects with architectures and data pipelines
• Guide end-to-end big data and AI solution design, build and deployment
• Bootstrap or implement customer projects to drive adoption of Databricks
• Own architecture: ensure secure, scalable designs aligned with best practices
• Collaborate with engineering, PM, architects, and customer teams to deliver components
• Embed with customer teams to understand challenges and deliver impact

🎯 Requirements

• 6+ years in data engineering, data platforms, or software
• Proficient in Python, Scala, or JavaScript/TypeScript
• Cloud experience AWS/Azure/GCP (at least one)
• Deep experience with Apache Spark and Spark internals
• Familiar with CI/CD for production deployments
• MLOps, ML/AI models and AI APIs knowledge
• End-to-end data architectures with pipelines and ML/AI
• Databricks Certification; Japanese fluency; English proficiency; travel 20%
