Sr. Instructional Designer

📋 Description

• Analyze learner needs and define learning objectives
• Partner with SMEs to design instructor-led and web learning
• Design engaging courses grounded in adult learning and best practices
• Develop and refine assessments; provide actionable feedback
• Evaluate and enhance Esri curriculum for design quality and consistency
• Collaborate with peers to improve content development workflows
• Support customer education initiatives and share instructional design best practices
• Portfolio submission: include a link to your portfolio or samples of recent work

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years in instructional design, LXD, or corporate training (SaaS/product preferred)
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to partner across roles
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver quality learning solutions
• Strong foundation in adult learning and ADDIE/Bloom's Taxonomy
• End-to-end instructional design: analysis, scope, objectives, assessments, curriculum
• Experience designing ILT and web-based learning for technical audiences
• Ability to use generative AI to support research, prototyping, and content development
• US work authorization; visa sponsorship not available
• Bachelor’s degree in instructional design or educational technology

Recommended Qualifications

• Master’s degree in instructional design or related field
• Familiarity with GIS/Esri or ability to learn quickly and translate products into learning
• Proficiency with MS 365 and tools like Adobe, Figma, MindManager
• Experience creating instructional visuals: diagrams, graphics, videos
• Experience documenting workflows for scalable learning
