Sr Instrument Software Engineer

📋 Description

• Lead the development of advanced mechatronic instrumentation for patient care applications
• Architect and develop control and sensing software for medical robots or diagnostic instruments
• Hands-on work with mechatronic hardware in bring-up, calibration, operation, experimentation, and
• Collaborate with embedded, electrical, systems, and mechanical engineers to optimize hardware and
• Write maintainable code with thorough testing and documentation for instrument configurations
• Use Python for hardware bring-up, test automation, and data analysis/visualization

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelors/Masters/PhD in CS or related field with 3+ years experience, or PhD
• Strong experience in real-time/pseudo-real-time control languages (C#, C, C++) on Linux
• Experience architecting and writing motion control, sensing, and state machine code for production
• Strong experimental design, data collection, and analysis/visualization using Python
• Experience in medical device software development per FDA requirements including software risk
• Strong analytical skills and creative mindset
