πŸ“‹ Description

  • Ensure systems, processes, and infrastructure critical to launch operations and rocket recovery are
  • Partner with mechanical teams responsible for the development, build, and refurbishment of Starship
  • Identify high-risk mechanical and structural processes and problems during launch pad and recovery
  • Lead root cause and corrective action investigations
  • Maintain a feedback loop to drive hardware inputs that enable a reliable and rapid launch cadence
  • Participate in preliminary design review (PDR)/critical design review (CDR) and work with design

🎯 Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline
  • 5+ years of experience in a mechanical, manufacturing, or design engineering role
  • Bachelor's/Master's Degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering
  • Direct experience with large-scale mechanical systems, mechanisms (e.g., arms, actuators, latches)
  • Experience supporting production, assembly, or refurbishment of complex mechanical or structural
  • Strong knowledge of quality and reliability tools (Lean, Six Sigma, root cause analysis, PFMEA
