Sr. Manager, Launch Fabrication (Starship)

📋 Description

• Own Starbase Launch Fabrication performance: safety, quality, schedule, and cost.
• Lead multi-shift fabrication across pipe/structural welding, material prep, machine shop.
• Build and lead a leadership bench; hire, promote, develop talent.
• Scale production control: planning, scheduling, WIP, and customer interface.
• Drive headcount strategy for FTE vs contractor, night shifts, ramp plans.
• Own high-level resource and facility plans for rate, shop layout, and capex.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering/manufacturing or 6+ years fabrication/assembly experience
• 7+ years in heavy fabrication, welding, machining, or ground/test hardware builds
• 3+ years leading supervisors and multi-team fabrication orgs with direct reports
• 5+ years managing multi-shift fabrication/manufacturing orgs
• Experience scaling FTE/contractor workforces for aerospace/high-rate fabrication
• Deep familiarity with pipe/structural welding, material prep, and shop-floor production control
