Sr. Mechanical Design Engineer (Starship Components)

📋 Description

• Develop flow control devices (valves, regulators, solenoids) and actuators.
• End-to-end ownership of design, analysis, production layout, and assembly.
• Validate reliability with shock, vibration, thermal and pressure cycling.
• Partner with manufacturing, testing, and supply chain to maximize build rate.
• Generate detailed drawings, specifications, and risk assessments.
• Lead root-cause investigations and preventive actions.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in physics or engineering.
• 5+ years mechanical design/manufacturing experience.
• Experience designing and analyzing mechanical systems; project/research background.
• Master's degree or 5+ years in mechanical or aerospace engineering.
• Hands-on with fluid, gas, thermal, high voltage, or electronics systems.
• Knowledge of electro-mechanical devices, actuators, valves, regulators.
