Sr. Power Systems Engineer (Starship)

📋 Description

• Design, build, operate, and maintain Starbase microgrids, TX.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams; lead projects at Starbase launch sites.
• Scale infrastructure for Starship production rate targets.
• Create and maintain sitewide power budgets, monitoring, metering.
• Develop standardized designs for launch, propellant generation, and power delivery.
• Design electrical power systems: one-line, relay schematics, SCADA, grounding.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, computer engineering, physics, or related field.
• 5+ years in power systems design, analysis, and build (high-power/high-voltage).
• 8+ years in similar role; PE license or active pursuit.
• Experience with ETAP, SKM, EasyPower, PowerWorld, Matlab, PSCAD, Simulink.
• Experience with load flow, short-circuit, arc-flash, coordination, transient stability studies.
• Industrial power systems up to 345 kV; switchgear, transformers, BESS, relaying, metering.
