Sr. Research Manager, Design Research

📋 Description

• Provide strategic leadership across design research aligned with hardware/product priorities.
• Scale early-stage research with cross-functional leaders; input to decisions.
• Partner with Program Management to scope needs and guide prioritization.
• Manage and develop a team of senior researchers; contribute as senior IC.
• Own relationships with external research vendors; scope projects and ensure quality.
• Communicate insights clearly to cross-functional partners and leadership.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in human factors, design research, UX, psychology, or related field.
• 5+ years of user research for physical products (hardware/health/consumer).
• 2+ years people management experience.
• Strong mixed-methods research background (qual + quant).
• Experience with hardware development lifecycles (not software-only).
• Experience managing external research vendors.
