Sr. Silicon Photonics Design Engineer (RFIC Engineering)

📋 Description

• Design, analyze, and simulate optical building blocks (MZM, microring, PDs).
• Derive specifications for Photonics IC systems and circuits.
• Design and model package optical interfaces (edge and grating couplers).
• Familiar with RF, analog, and mixed-signal circuits.
• Collaborate with system architects, DSP, electro-optics, and ASIC teams.
• Perform IC floor planning and layout.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or computer science.
• 5+ years of photonics or electro-optical IC design.
• Master's degree or PhD in electrical engineering, computer engineering (electro-optics IC design), or applied physics.
• Experience using electrical simulation tools such as Spectre, ADS.
• Knowledge of high-speed Serdes, NRZ/PAM4, and >100 Gbps.
• Familiarity with optical and RF test equipment (spectrum analyzers, vector signal analyzers, high-speed oscilloscopes, BERTs).
• Ability to work long hours and weekends to meet milestones.
