Sr. Site Reliability Engineer (Starlink)

📋 Description

• Upgrade existing distributed systems to become sharded and geo-redundant in multiple data centers
• Advance deployment, monitoring, and alerting infra for a multi-region environment
• Manage petabyte scale bare metal compute clusters
• Collaborate across programs to deliver highly operable, scalable, maintainable products
• Engage across the full SDLC of services from inception to deployment and operation
• Focus on performance bottlenecks and improvements

🎯 Requirements

• BS in CS/engineering/math or science; 5+ years software dev SRE/DevOps; or 7+ years.
• Experience with Linux operating systems
• 5+ years of rigorous site reliability or DevOps experience
• Kubernetes and Istio for on-premise deployment
• In-stream data processing and analytics with Kafka, Spark, HBase, HDFS, Flink
• Troubleshoot hardware and network-layer issues
• Programming in Python, C#, Java, Scala, Go or similar
• Strong knowledge of VCS, testing, CI, build, deployment, monitoring
• Willing to work extended hours and weekends when needed
