Sr. Software Engineer

📋 Description

• Maintain and modernize real-time services that run on the Telephony Engines.
• Architect backend libraries and APIs for broader Telephony Platform integration.
• Build low latency media pipelines for voice and video; tune codecs and RTP.
• Investigate and resolve production issues across PSTN, WebRTC, and carrier boundaries.
• Run load, failover, and regression tests on Telephony Engines.
• Partner with Tel Cloud, Tel Edge, Calling, and AI teams to design end-to-end call flows.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years in software engineering, incl. production backends in SaaS or real-time comms.
• Deep expertise in C/C++ and Python.
• Experience with SIP, WebRTC, RTP/RTCP, DTLS/SRTP, and media codec negotiation.
• Experience troubleshooting real-time media quality (jitter, packet loss, choppy audio).
• Comfortable working on KTLO and roadmap items; data-driven prioritization.
