Sr. Software Engineer - Go/MongoDB

📋 Description

• Design and develop features for MongoDB replication, backup, and recovery using Go.
• Build replication engines for data sync, change streams, and high availability.
• Improve resilience with fault-tolerant handling of network issues and failovers.
• Develop backups, restore, and point-in-time recovery for complex deployments.
• Enhance CLI tools, APIs, logging, metrics, and observability for ops.
• Optimize performance, concurrency, and throughput in large-scale environments.
• Write automated tests, review code, and contribute to CI/CD and security practices.
• Collaborate via GitHub, PRs, issues, and open-source collaboration.

🎯 Requirements

• Strong production Go (Golang) experience.
• Solid concurrency knowledge (goroutines, channels, contexts).
• Experience with distributed systems, consistency, idempotency, fault tolerance.
• Hands-on MongoDB experience: replicas, sharding, change streams, oplog.
• Experience building CLI apps and REST APIs; logging/monitoring.
• Strong testing mindset with automated tests.
• Git workflows and code reviews in open-source projects.
• Analytical, debugging skills; able to work remotely.
• Backup/recovery, CDC pipelines, ETL, Prometheus, cloud storage, CI/CD, security tooling.
