Sr. Software Engineer (Scala)

📋 Description

• Design and implement Scala backend services for evaluation, risk, and trading
• Build actor-based systems (Akka) for high-throughput market data and events
• Own features end-to-end from spec to production handoff
• Design data models in PostgreSQL and JSONB considerations
• Diagnose complex backend issues and reproduce edge cases
• Improve code quality via PR reviews, tests, instrumentation

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years backend production systems with real-time data and concurrency
• Expert in Scala, functional patterns, ScalaTest
• Experience with actor models (Akka/Pekko)
• PostgreSQL with JSONB and schema design
• Event-driven architectures using Kafka or Pub/Sub
• Troubleshooting distributed systems via logs and tracing
• Ability to write clear specs and scope work
