Sr. Software Engineer - Systems Insights

📋 Description

• Design and build Cribl's metric store for high-volume telemetry
• Build scalable backend services and APIs for ingestion and queries
• Model time-series data and retention strategies for large datasets
• Collaborate with Product and Design to deliver observability workflows
• Lead and mentor junior engineers to own larger technical problems

🎯 Requirements

• Strong backend experience in large-scale distributed systems
• Proficient in Node.js and TypeScript for production code
• Experience with time-series data, telemetry pipelines, and metrics
• Design secure, evolvable APIs
• AWS or other cloud infrastructure experience
• Experience with storage, indexing, partitioning, and caching
• Observability concepts such as metrics, labels, and PromQL are a plus
• Experience with ClickHouse, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, Kafka, or S3
