πŸ“‹ Description

  • Drive technical evaluations and solution designs for Kansai region customers (Osaka/Kyoto) for Databricks Japan.
  • Partner with Account Executives to lead technical discovery, architecture design, and proof-of-concept phases.
  • Advise customers on data and AI strategy to realize data-driven outcomes on the Databricks Lakehouse Platform.
  • Guide data and AI teams to design, build, and operationalize solutions within enterprise ecosystems.
  • Act as a key technical voice back into product and field teams, championing customer needs in Kansai.
  • Report to the Manager of Field Engineering.

🎯 Requirements

  • Pre-sales or post-sales experience with external clients across various industries.
  • Core strength in Data Engineering or Data Science; customer-facing pre-sales/consulting experience.
  • Experience presenting and whiteboarding; ability to demonstrate technical concepts.
  • Experience designing and implementing architectures within public clouds (AWS, Azure or GCP).
  • Experience with Big Data technologies including Apache Spark, AI, Data Science, Data Engineering, Hadoop, Cassandra.
  • Fluent coding in Python or Scala with Apache Spark; Java and R desirable.
  • Experience working with Enterprise Accounts.
  • Written and verbal fluency in Japanese.
