Sr. SSD Firmware Architect

📋 Description

• Define firmware architecture for DirectFlash SSD modules, subsystems.
• Bring up SSD controller SoCs with vendors; enable PCIe, NAND, PLP, telemetry.
• Develop firmware for NVMe and OCP SSD specs; ensure performance.
• Debug cross-layer issues among firmware, hardware, NAND, and host.
• Improve SSD data path performance and latency through firmware design.
• Review designs and mentor engineers; improve tooling and automation; Santa Clara office.

🎯 Requirements

• Extensive SSD firmware experience for enterprise or hyperscale systems.
• Solid understanding of NVMe and OCP SSD specs.
• Embedded firmware development and HW/SW interaction expertise.
• Proficient in C/C++, with Python or scripting for testing/automation.
• Hands-on with storage controller SoCs, PCIe, DMA, NAND interfaces, bring-up.
• Experience designing firmware architectures and debugging firmware/hardware issues.
