Sr Staff Software Development Engineer

📋 Description

• Set and drive architecture across the NHI Governance domain and shared platform services.
• Own the most complex, high-risk initiatives end-to-end from problem to delivered system.
• Define standards, interfaces, and contracts used by multiple teams and drive adoption.
• Partner with product, design, and engineering leaders to align tech strategy with business goals.
• Mentor staff and senior engineers, raising the technical bar, and improving how we build.
• Lead design reviews and key build/buy and architectural trade-off decisions.

🎯 Requirements

• Deep expertise architecting and delivering large-scale, distributed, cloud-native systems.
• Expert programming in C#, Go, TypeScript, Java, or other modern languages with API and distributed-systems design.
• Hands-on experience with Claude Code or similar AI coding tools to design and review software at high velocity.
• Track record owning architecture and technical direction across multiple teams.
• Hands-on AWS expertise for large-scale production apps (EKS, IAM, data stores).
• Deep CI/CD knowledge and IaC experience (Terraform, CloudFormation).
