Sr. Thermal Engineer - Spacecraft Analysis, AI Satellites (Starmind)

📋 Description

• Own the vehicle-level thermal model for Starmind satellites
• Define environments across ground test, launch, operations, and disposal
• Drive heat-rejection architecture trades: radiator area, mass, optical properties, heater
• Own the system thermal budget: dissipation, heater loads, min/max temps vs limits
• Own TVAC/thermal balance tests from inputs to post-test correlation
• Define component-level thermal inputs for qualification and acceptance testing

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering
• 5+ years of thermal analysis experience
• Master’s degree in mechanical or aerospace (preferred)
• Spacecraft/high-power vehicle thermal-fluid modeling in Thermal Desktop or SINDA/FLUINT
• Steady-state and transient analysis under varied environments and thermal control modes
• Hands-on TVAC/thermal testing with instrumentation selection and model correlation
• Materials selection for thermal performance in orbital environments
• Scripting analysis workflows and post-processing (Python preferred)
• Ability to work extended hours or weekends for mission deadlines
• Some travel may occasionally be required
