Sr. Trajectory Analysis Engineer (Starship)

📋 Description

• Analyze launch vehicle trajectories and performance with faults
• Find flight plan solutions to enable mission objectives while ensuring safe operation
• Generate and submit flight safety deliverables
• Produce trajectory analysis products for internal and external partners
• Interface with ops, reliability, hardware teams, and FAA
• Engage in multi-disciplinary vehicle systems investigations to inform design and analysis
• Develop and evaluate flight termination system rules
• Support launch and mission operations of enabled vehicles
• Conduct flight data reviews
• Automate mission-to-mission trajectory analysis product generation

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in physics or engineering and 5+ years experience
• Experience with orbital mechanics, dynamics, modeling, and simulation
• Experience with Python or C++
• 5+ years: trajectory analysis and aerodynamics
• Experience in launch vehicle and/or spacecraft systems
• Able to solve complex problems with limited supervision in teams
• Experience with system trades and hardware-to-system requirements
• Passion for advancing commercial space and human spaceflight
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Willing to work extended hours/weekends
• ITAR: U.S. citizen/national or eligible for authorizations
