Staff AI Engineer

📋 Description

• Write and ship production AI code daily
• Lead work on making customer context retrievable at speed across semantic retrieval, indexing, and
• Build the inference and signal layer with models and processors reading from Iceberg-based lakehouse
• Turn signals into action through workflows with human review where appropriate
• Choose the right tool for each workload (large model, small model, deterministic code)
• Own evaluation and observability for AI systems

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of software engineering, including 3+ years shipping AI or ML systems to production
• Strong programming fundamentals and deep proficiency in at least one language used for AI and data
• Advanced SQL, transformation layer such as dbt, and distributed query engine over
• Production retrieval and context engineering with embeddings, vector search, hybrid or graph
• Agentic systems and durable workflows in production with tool calling, state, and human-in-the-loop
• Evaluation and observability for AI systems including tracing, prompt and version management
