Staff AI-Native Software Engineer

📋 Description

• Architect cross-platform product across desktop, mobile, cloud, and device connectivity (BT/USB/Wi‑Fi).
• Drive end-to-end architecture across app, cloud, and device layers; optimize latency and APIs.
• Lead architecture governance via ADRs, reviews, and traceability.
• Own planning, estimation, and delivery; balance engineering effort with calendar time.
• Ensure reliability, security, and performance: retries, encryption, cert validation.
• Partner with product/design/QA/manufacturing/firmware/AI/ML/security; mentor engineers.

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years shipping production software across client apps, backend, and device integration; proficiency in Swift, Kotlin, JavaScript/TypeScript, C#, React, Python.
• At least a year hands-on use of AI tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot) with production AI/LLM capabilities (model orchestration, retrieval, agentic patterns, evals).
• Proven cross-platform product experience across iOS, Android, desktop, and web; React Native or Flutter a plus.
• Strong device connectivity expertise: Bluetooth, Wi‑Fi, USB; BLE GATT design, Wi‑Fi provisioning, mDNS/SSDP discovery; pairing/reconnection.
• Embedded/hardware integration knowledge: firmware constraints, command protocols, calibration, OTA updates, telemetry.
• Backend experience with REST APIs, microservices, and security (asymmetric cryptography).
• Track record leading large-scale refactors; able to communicate architecture with diagrams/ADR and influence across teams.
• 90% hands-on, 10% architecture leadership; leads by building.
