Staff Analyst, Methods

📋 Description

• Perform detailed structural analyses of rotor system, blades, and controls
• Evaluate static strength and fatigue life via hand calculations and FEA
• Assess life and dynamic response of metallic and composite components under fatigue
• Author structural substantiation reports and other technical docs
• Support full-scale ground and flight testing, including data reduction
• Develop best practices for structural analysis of aerospace structures

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering (or related field)
• 5+ years' experience in design/analysis of critical aircraft structures
• Proficiency in FE software: ANSYS/NASTRAN or equivalents
• Knowledge of fatigue for composites and metals (HCF/LCF)
• Ability to read drawings and interpret CAD; NX CAD experience preferred
• Strong technical, written, and verbal communication; fast-paced design experience
