Staff Analytics Engineer

📋 Description

• Own ontology objects and semantic models for your team.
• Partner with product/business to translate goals into durable plans.
• Take end-to-end ownership of critical initiatives with architectural judgment.
• Align models with core entities (customer, policy, claim) across the mesh.
• Define modeling patterns and reference implementations; share standards.
• Drive data-as-a-product ownership, contracts, and documentation.

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years in analytics/BI/data modeling with cross-cutting data work.
• Deep expertise in semantic/data modeling; ontology vs dimensional.
• Hands-on with ontology-based semantic layer (e.g., Palantir Foundry Ontology).
• Dimensional modeling for BI (Looker/LookML) downstream of a source-of-truth.
• Experience with data mesh/data-as-a-product/domain-oriented architecture.
• Experience with modern lakehouse platforms (Databricks) as a shared platform.
