Staff Android Software Engineer, Cash App Consumer Platform

📋 Description

• Build and own the Android platform infrastructure (modules, DI, navigation)
• Design and deliver shared libraries and frameworks used daily by feature teams
• Drive Android architecture forward with high-leverage decisions
• Invent Android platform tech and open source where it creates value
• Develop rapid experimentation to support AI-driven iteration
• Collaborate with iOS, Web, and backend engineers for cross-platform experiences

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years of Android development experience with demonstrated impact
• BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
• Strong systems thinking and cross-team collaboration
• Exceptional communication and design documentation skills
• Deep Android expertise: Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, modern architecture, performance and testing
• Kotlin Multiplatform experience
• Experience building developer platforms or internal tooling
• AI-native development practice with tools like Codex, Claude Code, Goose
