Staff Backend Engineer- Agent Experience

📋 Description

• Build API-first surfaces for agent provisioning, m2m auth, scoped credentials.
• Own MCP servers and agent-first CLI for agent/LLM calls.
• Harden the agent media path for non-human callers; reduce silent failures.
• Instrument agent behavior with signals and attribution.
• Work across polyglot backend: Node.js/TypeScript, Ruby/Rails, Go.
• Ship quickly and iterate with AX, Product, Ecosystem, Discoverability.

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years building/operating production APIs, SDKs, backend systems at scale.
• Strong in Node.js/TypeScript; comfortable with Ruby/Rails and Go.
• Deep API/protocol design: auth (OAuth, API keys), versioning, idempotency, rate limits.
• Genuine curiosity about agents and LLMs reshaping software.
• Solid distributed systems and cloud instincts (AWS or equivalent).
• Ownership mindset: define problems, ship, and own outcomes.
