Staff Backend Engineer - Trust & Control Safety Systems

📋 Description

• Architect, redesign, and optimize backend data models, queries, indexes, and storage strategies
• Own Elasticsearch reliability and scalability, including ingestion, indexing, shard strategies
• Design highly available, low-latency distributed systems that balance strong enforcement with
• Define clear data flows and integration boundaries across databases, caches, APIs, and other
• Improve system reliability and performance by eliminating bottlenecks, strengthening replication
• Build comprehensive observability across critical data paths via metrics, tracing, slow-query

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years building high-scale critical backend systems with strong p99 latency focus.
• Deep expertise in distributed systems, concurrency, event-driven architectures, consistency
• Proven experience with systems where correctness has direct financial consequences (billing
• Strong experience with relational and NoSQL data models, and familiarity with streaming/analytical
• Experience with configurable policy or rules engines with versioning and rollback.
• Strong understanding of production reliability, monitoring, SLOs, performance optimization
