Staff Backend Platform Engineer

📋 Description

• Set technical direction for backend platform across integrations, data, messaging, orchestration.
• Drive cross-functional initiatives with AI Eng, Product, and Integrations leaders for platform strategy.
• Define and evolve engineering standards for backend design and observability.
• Identify reliability, scalability, and performance risks and lead response.
• Mentor senior and mid-level backend engineers through reviews and guidance.
• Hands-on contributor: build and ship production code, not a pure architect role.

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years in software engineering with backend/platform/data infra.
• Lead cross-team initiatives end-to-end from concept to production.
• Strong Python with FastAPI and Celery in production.
• Deep Postgres experience: schema design and production ops.
• Experience designing/operating integrations with third-party SaaS.
• AWS cloud architecture experience for production-grade systems.
