Staff Computational Biologist

📋 Description

• Lead analysis and interpretation of cancer molecular signatures.
• Develop statistical models for cancer biology data.
• Analyze data from sequencing and proteomics assays.
• Design statistical models for evolution and progression of cancer.
• Identify hypotheses and plan research with a computational biology team.
• Collaborate with biologists to refine wet lab experiments and with developers to translate research into products.

🎯 Requirements

• PhD or equivalent in a quantitative field (e.g., computational biology, cancer biology, statistics, bioinformatics).
• 8+ years post PhD applying computational techniques in industry.
• Deep expertise in cancer and molecular biology for computational biology and diagnostics.
• Experience with high-throughput omics data: genomics, epigenomics, transcriptomics, proteomics.
• Proficiency in Python (NumPy, Pandas) and modeling tools (Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Nice-to-have: sequence-to-function models, single-cell models, cfDNA.

• Base salary range: $188,275 - $270,375 (US).
