Staff Controls Software Engineer

📋 Description

• Design modular, real-time control architectures for locomotion and manipulation.
• Implement high-performance control loops and middleware interfaces for deterministic, safe operation.
• Industrialize algorithms for production readiness, maintainability, and performance.
• Lead integration of real-time control software on embedded or Linux systems.
• Develop automated testing frameworks (simulation, hardware-in-the-loop, regression, perf).
• Drive release and version management of the control stack across branches.

🎯 Requirements

• B.S./M.S./Ph.D. in Robotics, Control, Computer Engineering, or related.
• 10+ years of experience in robotics control software for real-time systems.
• Proficient in C++ (modern standards) and Python for implementation.
• Strong background in control theory, robot kinematics/dynamics, RT control.
• Experience deploying and validating control software in sim and on hardware.
• Solid understanding of software architecture, Git, CI/CD, and automated testing.
