Staff Cost Engineer

📋 Description

• Develop detailed cost estimates for electromechanical product designs, including custom mechanical
• Utilize PLM, CAD programs to analyze design specifications, bills of materials (BOMs), and
• Design, develop, and implement standardized cost engineering processes and methodologies for
• Partner with Finance to create and maintain cost estimation templates, tools, and databases.
• Establish best practices for cost data collection, analysis, and reporting.
• Support data-driven make v. buy decisions

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in a cost engineering role
• Deep understanding of cost engineering principles and methodologies specific to electromechanical
• Proven ability to design, implement, and improve cost engineering processes
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes for both mechanical and electronic components.
• Strong ability to analyze complex data, identify root causes, and develop effective solutions.
• Demonstrated understanding of financial principles and cost management techniques.
