Staff Data Engineer

📋 Description

• Own the architecture of ClickUp's data platform for scale, cost, and reliability.
• Define and drive the data infra roadmap with leadership.
• Design scalable systems: frameworks, abstractions, patterns.
• Lead cross-team initiatives across data engineering, analytics, and data science.
• Build and evolve data pipelines with AWS serverless, Snowflake, and dbt.
• Mentor senior engineers and raise the team's engineering quality.

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years in data engineering or backend/infrastructure at senior/staff level.
• Proven track record owning architecture for data platforms or large-scale systems.
• Deep AWS expertise (Lambda, Fargate, Step Functions, S3, Kinesis) and IaC (Terraform/CDK).
• Expert SQL and Snowflake knowledge, with performance tuning and cost optimization.
• Strong experience with dbt and modern ELT/ETL patterns at scale.
• Advanced Python; reusable libraries, tooling; orchestration: Airflow, Dagster, Prefect.
