Staff Data Engineer - US Remote

📋 Description

• Own the implementation design across the platform — ingestion, modeling, and the surfaces people
• Shape the detailed architecture from the high-level direction, working with our architecture team
• Own integration design across a varied set of production source systems
• Build ingestion pipelines from those systems
• Model raw data into business-ready datasets, with one agreed definition per metric
• Set the engineering standards the team works to, including data quality and testing

🎯 Requirements

• Substantial experience building and operating cloud data platforms, ideally including one you
• Comfort making decisions with incomplete information, and the judgement to know which ones are
• Deep SQL, and strong command of a cloud data warehouse (Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks or similar)
• A transformation framework such as dbt, with clear opinions on how to structure a project
• ELT and change-data-capture experience across relational sources
• AWS — read replicas, object storage, and moving data between regions without surprises
