Staff Data Infrastructure Engineer

📋 Description

• Architect, lead, and evolve foundational data infrastructure powering Headway's data org.
• Anchor across Data Analytics, Product Engineering, and ML teams.
• Own Snowflake data warehouse, ingestion tooling, AWS infra, CI/CD, and developer experience.
• Not an analytics role; enable AI-driven workflows for non-technical staff.
• Ship frequently in a fast-paced startup; drive architecture decisions end-to-end.
• Help shape Headway's engineering culture, processes, and documentation.

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years as Data Platform/Infra/Data Engineer in high-code, high-scale environments.
• Track record driving tech strategy and cross-functional roadmaps for data platforms.
• Deep expertise building full-stack data platforms: warehousing, ingestion, orchestration, CI/CD.
• Architectural fluency in warehouse design, performance tuning, cost, and permissions (Snowflake preferred).
• Experience leading technical initiatives end-to-end and codifying engineering standards.
• Proficiency designing and operating cloud infrastructure at scale using IaC (Terraform, Pulumi, AWS CDK).
