Staff Data Platform Engineer

📋 Description

• Design the Databricks Data Warehouse architecture (ingestion, storage, compute)
• Build and optimize self-service data frameworks for batch/streaming
• Define SLOs, own lineage and observability; lead incident triage and RCA
• Design governance and multi-tenancy guardrails across schemas/workspaces
• Automate and harden data infrastructure and CI/CD for scalable changes
• Raise the team's technical bar via design/code reviews and mentorship

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years in data engineering and data platform work
• Technical leadership: architecture direction, reviews, mentoring
• Strong Python fundamentals; CI/CD and IaC on cloud (Azure/AWS/GCP)
• Experience with Terraform and cloud stacks (AWS/GCP/Azure)
• Data governance, security, multi-tenancy; least-privilege, auditing
• Ability to leverage AI tools (Claude, Augment) to boost productivity
