📋 Description

• Lead roadmap to develop methodologies and KPIs to measure quality and relevance of behavior
• Influence evaluation signals used by hundreds of software engineers to ensure positive impacts on
• Conduct analyses to identify bottlenecks and prototype improvements in metrics, sampling, and
• Become an expert in Waymo’s evaluation ecosystem for onboard software and guide launch criteria
• Collaborate with product and engineering to scale evaluation portfolio and accelerate new
• Surface insights to stakeholders and drive continuous improvement actions across evaluation

🎯 Requirements

• Degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Mathematics, Physics).
• PhD in a quantitative field with 5+ years of industry experience, or 7+ years solving data science
• Strong statistical background with applied methods (experimentation design, causal inference)
• Demonstrated knowledge of data analysis libraries in Python, R, and/or SQL.
• Strong communication/leadership to coordinate across organizations and products.
• Ability to navigate ambiguous requirements and propose clear technical solutions.
