Staff Electrical Engineer - Compute

📋 Description

• Lead the design of next-generation compute for Apollo humanoid platform.
• Architect compute system for real-time performance, sensor bandwidth, and safety.
• Define compute requirements from robotics algorithms (motion control, perception, AI).
• Develop high-bandwidth data handling and robust multi-layer PCBs with SoMs (e.g., NVIDIA Orin).
• Lead risk-aware design for functional safety with redundancy, diagnostics, and safety standards.
• Collaborate with software, electrical, and systems teams to integrate compute stack with robot

🎯 Requirements

• Proven experience shipping complex, high-performance compute for robotics/autonomous systems.
• Deep knowledge of functional safety (IEC 61508) and safety-critical design.
• Expertise with compute platforms (NVIDIA Jetson/Orin, Intel, etc.).
• RTOS, multi-core processing, Ethernet/CAN, high-speed data transfer.
• Sensor bandwidth management, power analysis, heat/thermal optimization.
• Strong problem-solving and collaboration; humanoid robotics experience a plus.
