Staff Electrical Engineer - Control Panel Designer

📋 Description

• Design the control panel panels in compliance with NEC (NFPA 70) and UL 508A standards
• Develop complete control panel schematic, layout and BOM using EPLAN
• Select appropriate control panel components including connectors, wire harnesses, branch circuit
• Select components rated for 600V AC and 2000V DC high-voltage applications
• Work directly with third-party panel vendors to translate design intent into built assemblies
• Execute and oversee high-voltage testing procedures including hipot, insulation resistance, and

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field with 7+
• Proficiency in panel design SW EPLAN or equivalent
• Demonstrated experience designing panels to NEC and UL 508A requirements
• Hands-on experience in testing with high-voltage testing procedures and associated safety protocols
• Strong working knowledge of branch protection coordination, wire sizing, and power conversion
• Experience managing third-party panel fabrication vendors through design, build, and acceptance
