Staff Electrical Systems Design Engineer

📋 Description

• Lead the electrical system architecture, define subsystem boundaries, and manage cross-disciplinary
• Review and approve design documentation, schematics, and board layouts, drawing on deep experience
• Collaborate across power electronics, firmware, hardware, thermal, test, quality, reliability, and
• Own the DFMEA process to ensure product reliability
• Conduct short circuit analysis and select appropriate protection devices
• Define fault classifications, thresholds, and response strategies for all system-level components

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or a closely related discipline
• 7 to 10 years of hands-on industry experience working with systems in the 208–600 VAC and up to
• Demonstrated history of leading complex hardware programs from initial concept through volume
• Experience with renewable energy systems and grid-tied inverter applications such as solar, battery
• Foundational understanding of power converter topologies (AC/DC, DC/DC, DC/AC) and associated
• Familiarity with relevant regulatory standards such as IEC 62368, IEEE 1547, UL 1741, CA Rule 21
