Staff Engineer

📋 Description

• Align engineering roadmap with business outcomes; translate goals into a roadmap.
• Design core platforms for APIs, data, and AI; scalable, observable, secure.
• Embed AI as a first-class concern: orchestration, evaluation, guardrails.
• Partner with product managers and customer-facing teams to drive impact.
• Mentor through reviews, design reviews, and hands-on pairing.

🎯 Requirements

• Backend/platform engineer with 8+ years building and operating production services.
• Strong in system design; AWS/GCP, Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD.
• Proficient in Go/Java/Ruby/Python/JavaScript; quick to learn new languages.
• Proficient with PostgreSQL and NoSQL; experience with Kafka and event-driven architectures.
• Excellent communicator who writes clear docs, explains trade-offs, mentors peers.
• Exposure to AI systems in production: LLM gateways, evaluation, guardrails.
• Experience improving developer experience across the company.
