📋 Description

• Join a world-class blockchain team building on Avalanche network.
• Own AvalancheGo as its maintainer, ensuring health of node code and backwards compatibility.
• Set engineering standards and drive release quality for network-critical code.
• Design and advance core systems: consensus, P2P networking, state sync, VM interface, and EVM
• Establish observability, SLOs, and incident/postmortem culture for reliability.
• Mentor engineers, influence protocol direction, and engage with the open source ecosystem.

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years software engineering; 3+ years at staff/lead level preferred.
• Expert-level Go with concurrency, profiling, and API design in large codebases.
• Open source maintainer or sustained contributor with public activity.
• Distributed systems experience: consensus, P2P, state sync, high-availability.
• Strong testing discipline and CI experience (GitHub Actions preferred).
• Release engineering experience: semantic versioning, migrations, backward compatibility.
