Staff Engineer - Recommendations

📋 Description

• Design, develop, maintain, and optimize scalable data pipelines, backend services, and APIs for
• Build data models and schemas supporting analytical workloads and real-time personalization.
• Partner with data scientists, PMs, and engineers to capture data for product experiences.
• Develop and maintain large-scale data processing workflows using Spark and Kafka.
• Advance recommendations from basic heuristics to data-backed personalization models.
• Contribute to backend architecture, REST and WebSocket APIs, caching, queues, and cloud

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience with data engineering, backend systems, or
• Proven experience designing, building, and optimizing production-grade ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Strong SQL skills for analytical workloads and real-time access.
• Hands-on experience with Spark, Kafka, Hadoop, or Beam.
• Experience with cloud platforms at scale, especially AWS or Google Cloud.
• Programming across Python, JavaScript/Node.js, MongoDB, Redis; cross-language flexibility.
