Staff Engineer, Rheology

📋 Description

• Design and optimize aqueous slurries with active materials and carbon additives for electrode performance.
• Link mixing conditions to slurry microstructure, dispersion, and transport in batteries.
• Diagnose dispersion stability in active or corrosive phases using solvent-mediated interactions.
• Build and operate a comprehensive slurry characterization toolkit.
• Translate raw data into predictive models of stability and performance.
• Mentor R&D teams and represent the function in cross-functional design reviews.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's +7 yrs; Master's +5; PhD +2 in Physics, Chemical Engineering, or related fields.
• Deep knowledge of colloidal and interfacial science and interactions.
• Experience developing slurries and electrodes for battery apps (flow batteries, semi-solid electrodes, or fuel cell inks).
• Proficiency with rheometry, light scattering, analytical centrifugation to assess slurry.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
