Staff Engineer, Travel

📋 Description

• Design and own key parts of the K4B booking and integration architecture.
• Build direct provider connections and GDS integrations.
• Drive a direct-first integration model while maintaining reliability.
• Take end-to-end ownership of integrations from design to production with documentation.
• Incorporate AI tooling into architecture and development workflows.
• Collaborate with product, operations, and partner teams to clarify requirements.

🎯 Requirements

• +7 years backend engineering experience delivering distributed systems.
• Familiarity with travel booking flows, ticketing, fares (PNR, ancillaries).
• Experience with Amadeus/Sabre/Travelport or direct airline/hotel integrations (NDC, AFOP).
• Experience building and maintaining external API integrations.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and drive clarity on complex problems.
• Experience communicating technical decisions to technical and non-technical colleagues.
• Comfort with autonomy and ownership.
