Staff Hardware Reliability Engineer

📋 Description

• Lead and oversee hardware reliability testing for automotive power/compute hardware.
• Collaborate with electrical, firmware, mechanical, software, and manufacturing teams on reliability.
• Develop, implement, and monitor reliability tests (stress, environmental, FMEA).
• Analyze failure data to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Create reports on reliability testing and corrective actions to drive improvements.
• Drive continuous improvement in hardware design to meet automotive reliability standards.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years hardware reliability engineering experience (auto/aero/heavy-duty preferred).
• Strong hardware design knowledge, reliability testing (HALT/HASS, vibration) and failure analysis.
• Experience with firmware development teams and firmware-hardware interactions.
• Led root-cause analyses (8D, 5-Why, Fishbone) and corrective actions.
• Proficiency in Python, JMP, Weibull++, dfMEA.
